Word games · Logic puzzles · A fresh one daily
Free daily games like Wordle, Connections and the mini crossword
Greatest Games is a free daily collection of original puzzles: a fresh one every day, the same for everyone, no account required. If you like Wordle-style word games, Connections-style grouping puzzles, the daily mini crossword or any daily “-dle,” there’s something here for you. Each puzzle plays in a few minutes and is built to share, and every one is free and resets at midnight US Eastern.
Every title on the press is an original, built in-house. The word desk runs from Wordly, our six-letter deduction game, through the mini and midi crosswords to anagram and word-path puzzles like Jumble and Zigzag. The logic desk sets a daily Sudoku and Nonogram alongside stranger fare: Shrooms star battles, Amsterdammed simple-loop canals, and the color-mixing puzzle Chroma.
The paper goes to bed once a day: each edition is printed at midnight Eastern and every solver gets the same puzzles, so a score is always comparable and a streak always means something. Under every board you’ll find desk notes on where the game comes from and how to get better at it, and the blog covers strategy, genre history and the thinking behind each new title. Greatest Games is made by a small independent team in San Francisco — read more about us.
